About You
Are you passionate about revolutionizing the energy industry and driving sustainable solutions? We are a growing energy management startup seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Enterprise Account Manager. As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in establishing, nurturing, and expanding relationships with our enterprise clients to help them achieve their energy management and sustainability goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be at the forefront of transforming how organizations use energy intelligence to make smarter decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Develop strategic accounts plans and coordinate all appropriate Verdigris resources to execute the strategic account plan including assigning roles, expectations, responsibilities and timelines.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at enterprise-level clients. Understand their energy management needs, challenges, and objectives to position our solutions effectively.
  • Account Growth: Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts by upselling additional products, services, and solutions. Leverage your understanding of the energy market and our offerings to create customized proposals that align with clients' specific requirements.
  • Solution Consultation: Act as a consultant to clients, understanding their energy management pain points, and providing tailored solutions. Collaborate with our Solutions Engineering team to develop and present comprehensive proposals that align with the client's unique needs.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Develop and execute account plans to ensure the achievement of sales targets and revenue growth. Actively use Salesforce to properly track and report sales progress.
  • Market Insights: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights and adapt our strategies accordingly. Use market intelligence to inform the product development team about potential improvements or new offerings.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with sales, marketing, solutions engineering, product, and customer success in a team selling environment to align efforts and create a unified approach to customer engagement and satisfaction. Act as an internal advocate for the customer.

Required Qualifications

  • You have a proven and successful track record in building, growing, and managing enterprise accounts selling B2B SaaS, Energy Management, Building Controls, or related technology solutions
  • You have experience selling to executives in complex sales cycles with deals six figures and higher
  • You have domain knowledge of large corporate environments including an understanding of real estate, facilities operations, and IT/security groups
  • You have a demonstrated ability to discuss technical aspects of energy management solutions and translate complex concepts into clear, understandable terms for non-technical audiences
  • You understand the importance of a solutions engineer and know when and how to leverage this function in your deal cycle and close process
  • You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and credibility with clients both remotely and in-person

Nice to Have

  • 5-10 years professional experience executing a structured selling process like Miller Heiman or similar
