What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Billing Analyst, based in Costa Rica, to manage the end-to-end billing process—from processing sales orders and invoicing to resolving billing inquiries and supporting collections. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure billing accuracy, support audit and reconciliation efforts, and contribute to system and process improvements as we scale. This position reports to the Billing Operations Manager at SentinelOne.

What will you do?

  • Process sales orders into the billing system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Invoice customers with a focus on timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding accounts and invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal Customer Success partners to address billing-related requests.
  • Support collections operations, including reaching out to partners with past-due accounts, as needed.
  • Participate in system and process optimization projects to help scale operations.
  • Field audit requests as appropriate.
  • Resolve invoice-related questions and disputes from clients, customers, or channel partners.
  • Address billing inquiries and requests from customers, channel partners, and Customer Success teams.
  • Perform account reconciliations of bookings and billings.
  • Interface with partners, management, and team members to review accounts and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Calculate monthly MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) consumption data for billing purposes.

What skills and experience should you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience with billing systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce (or similar software).
  • Familiarity with subscription and overage usage billing practices in different geographies, including the US and globally.
  • Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, US sales tax billing requirements.
  • Eagerness to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong professional communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work Costa Rica time zone with some overlap to US West Coast hours for meetings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to resolve open questions to conclusion as a strong individual contributor.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of tasks, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment to achieve collection targets.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with working knowledge of formulas and pivot tables.
