1 year fixed term contract role

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Manager, Corporate Accounting to join our Finance team. You’ll report to the Sr Director, Assistant Controller while you manage your team and actively participate in the accounting close cycle to ensure that the accounting processes are timely, accurate, efficient, and consistent. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, a problem solver, excited to roll up their sleeves, collaborative cross-functionally, as well as someone who takes an active role in participating in the development of tools, processes, and procedures to support the company scaling through hyper-growth.

What will you do?

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the corporate accounting function, with a focus on business process and system improvements, automation and improved efficiency around close calendar
  • Coordinate and lead the monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results
  • Review overall general ledger activity and account reconciliations, including reviews of operating expense accruals, prepaid expenses and allocations
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly flux analyses
  • Own and manage the consolidations process on a monthly basis
  • Assist in establishing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring SOX control procedures and accounting policies
  • Work with the Company’s external auditors on coordination of quarterly and annual audits
  • Participate or lead ad-hoc projects, analysis or reporting, including collaborating with other cross-functional teams as necessary
  • Coach and mentor the US corporate accounting team

What skills and experience should you bring?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA required
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or a tech startup organization
  • 2+ years of people management
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting, SOX controls and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience in managing corporate accounting operations and performing accounting analysis
  • Experience with Netsuite is a must, while experience with other systems (e.g. Coupa) is a plus
  • Positive attitude and ability to be flexible with shifting priorities, especially during month-end, quarter-end or year-end close cycles
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiency
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task, thrive and meet time-sensitive deadlines in a high-growth environment is a must
  • Strong cross functional collaboration with the ability to drive initiatives to resolve problems
  • Team player with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient Excel skills and systems implementation experience is a plus
