What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Staff Federal Release Engineer who will be instrumental in delivering an automated release process in both the commercial and federal environments of SentinelOne. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Public Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems and operating in regulated environments.

What will you do?

Design and implement release systems that improve the quality, reliability and speed of delivery to Commercial and Federal environments.
Drive consistency in release processes and quality expectations across the Commercial and Federal environments
Collaborate and influence across organizations to gain adoption of best practices to release software to all environment types.
Establish metrics, monitoring and gating systems to ensure high-quality releases.
Be responsible for operating in a regulated environment, partnering with service owners that have limited access and visibility.
Support the existing deployment processes, continually identifying ways to improve for both short and long-term benefit.
Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure reliable 24x7 operations of the Federal environment.

What knowledge and skills should you bring?

10+ experience in software engineering or related work experience in a production environment
5+ years experience in delivering developer tooling, preferably with a large-scale SaaS product or large cloud-based distributed system
5+ years working with various cloud providers, including deep experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS and GCP preferred)
5+ years implementing containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, automated deployment frameworks and CI/CD, and complex distributed systems
Experience with deployment strategies such as blue-green, rolling deploys, and canary deploys
3+ years creating automation, configuration management, and IaC with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or similar
Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby
Experience supporting a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in the US Federal environment

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate. For some

locations, a different pay range may apply. If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting

Base Salary Range

$28,666.67—$35,833.33 USD
