The Position
In this position, you will be a key part of Reach’s engineering team to develop our cloud solution. Driving the development of our backend infrastructure and dashboards for customers and internal teams. You will lead and mentor our frontend and backend engineers. As part of a small team in a small company, you will have a great deal of agency over your work, plenty of opportunity to discover and solve new challenges, and the ability to make large-impact decisions. It will be critical that you are a creative problem solver with strong curiosity, a passionate, proactive spirit eager to add value before it’s requested or identified by others.
Key Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Reach’s cloud infrastructure
Lead the rest of the team to analyze, design, develop, and deploy features to meet business, product, and technical requirements
Actively contribute to Reach’s code base by architecting and implementing features
Work with project management and other engineering teams to plan the effort and establish timelines for yourself and your team
Identify areas of need: Advocate for quality processes, good coding practices and contribute to product innovation in software
Qualifications:
Requirements
7+ years of experience as a fullstack or backend engineer and relevant degree
2+ years as a team lead
Subject matter in Node.js and recent web platform technologies
Proficient in JavaScript
Experience with React or similar front end technologies
Experience with AWS deployments
Experience with SQL, relational databases and other data storage solutions
Experience with Kubernetes and devOps in general
Experience with scalable solutions
Experience with full development cycles from prototyping to production
Have a test-driven, analytical approach to debugging and problem solving
Proficient communicator and organizational skills
Nice To Have
Experience with on-prem deployments
Experience with fullstack for RF products
Experience with fullstack for IoT products
Experience with python
Experience in software test automation
Experience working at a start-up or with a small, intimate team
