Plexium’s Screening group is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the discovery of novel targeted protein degradation therapeutics. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of cell culture and experience with immunofluorescence and image-based assays. This role is hands on in developing and transitioning assays from well plates to the company’s high-throughput, high-content discovery platform and thereby providing high quality data to make actionable decisions in Biology and Chemistry.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Execute high-throughput screening campaigns
  • Support development of novel techniques, assays, and protocols
  • Ability to precisely follow protocols and gather data with a high degree of consistency
  • Generate and analyze high-content microscopy data
  • Maintain a knowledge of literature related to areas of research
  • Maintain up-to-date and detailed records of experiments in an electronic notebook

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • BS/MS degree plus 5+ years of prior laboratory experience (i.e., academic, biotech or pharmaceutical industry laboratory)
  • Proficiency with iPSC and neuronal cell culture
  • Working knowledge of immunofluorescence, western blot, and molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with image based assays
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Exemplary communication and collaboration skills, ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, innovative environment, delivering to project priorities and deadlines

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $115,000 + target annual bonus + equity + health and well-being benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to the role, location, job-related skills, and relevant education, experience and training. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for the position across all US locations and vary by the location of the position. Our Talent Acquisition Team can share more about our salary ranges and other benefits of working at Plexium, which are not included in the posted base salary range.
