Business Project Manager, Customer Platform Solution

Orca Bio

Orca Bio

Operations, Customer Service
Menlo Park, CA, USA
Posted on Jul 4, 2025
More than one million people in the United States today are fighting blood cancer. While a traditional allogeneic stem cell transplant has been the best hope for many, the transplant itself can prove fatal or lead to serious conditions, such as graft vs. host disease. Orca Bio is a late-stage biotechnology company redefining the transplant process by developing next-generation cell therapies with the goal of providing significantly better survival rates with dramatically fewer risks. With our purified, high-precision investigational cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives.
Orca Bio is seeking a high performing Business Project Manager, Customer Platform Solution to serve as the business lead and to execute on the implementation, and evolution for Orca Bio’s Cell Therapy Ordering and Coordination Platform. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring our digital solution meets the needs and enables hospital partners to access our first in class therapy, Orca-T while supporting seamless operational execution for Orca-T’s commercial launch.
This role requires exceptional business acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and strong project management skills. While technical software expertise is not required, proven experience driving strategic business initiatives is essential.
As the platform stabilizes, the Business Project Manager will pivot to work on a portfolio of strategic initiatives across the Product Supply organization—driving operational scalability, cross-functional alignment, and continuous improvement as we prepare for commercial growth.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is eager to learn, and enjoys solving complex operational challenges. You’ll act as a utility player—part project manager, part strategist, part builder, supporting our most critical initiatives from day one.

  • Ensure that platform design supports customer ease-of-use, operational reliability, and scalability post-launch.
  • 3. Project Management & Cross-Functional Execution
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure readiness for 2026 launch.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, facilitate decision-making, and communicate progress to executive stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, anticipate challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the program on track.
  • 4. Strategic Operations Projects

  • Partnering with manufacturing and supply teams to enhance capacity planning, slot booking, and real-time visibility tools.
  • Conducting strategic analyses (e.g., U.S. apheresis market assessment) to inform investment decisions and internal infrastructure build-out.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams to design and implement scalable systems, processes, and tools that support commercial readiness.
  • Acting as a trusted thought partner to Product Supply leadership in identifying and solving operational pain points with long-term impact.
