About the Role:
Seeking a highly experienced RTL Design Director/Principal Engineer to lead end-to-end RTL development for our next-generation AI SoC. The ideal candidate would have deep expertise in complex SoC RTL design, leadership experience in driving RTL teams, and a strong background in high-performance compute architectures, memory systems, interconnects, Die interfaces, NOCs, and AI/ML compute datapaths.
Responsibilities
1. Lead architecture-to-RTL execution for large, sub 10nm AI SoCs involving compute clusters, DMA engines, high bandwidth interfaces, SRAMs, and CPU subsystems.
2. Drive micro-architecture definition, specifications, and RTL design reviews.
3. Provide hands-on technical guidance in RTL design, design partitioning, clock/power domains, resets, and interface specification.
4. Own RTL quality metrics (lint, CDC, RDC, synthesis QoR, timing closure readiness).
5. Build and drive RTL schedules, milestones, and delivery checkpoints.
6. Own RTL sign-off criteria and ensure design readiness for downstream verification, emulation, and physical design.
7. Lead integration of third-party IPs (PCIe, HBM/DDR, NoC, security, compute cores, interconnect fabric).
8. Work with cross functional teams: DV, Arch, PD, compiler and SW/FW teams.
9. Build and manage a high-performing RTL design team; attract, hire, and retain top industry talent
