Medical Informatics Corp. (MIC) a medical software company that aims to save lives by improving how patients are monitored. Our solution, Sickbay, collects patient data, stores it, transforms it and delivers results to doctors and nurses in real-time. We continue to build on Sickbay to identify early warning signs of patient deterioration in data which was previously lost within hospitals. This allows us to provide predictive alerts to care providers who can remotely or locally diagnose the problem and intervene before symptoms become life-threatening.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setup employee computers & services
  • Manage company physical and information technology assets
  • Support internal end users with technical issues related to their Windows computers, Google Workspace and other applications used at MIC during regular business hours and after hours as needed over the phone, chat and email
  • Learn and become proficient with the applications & services that are deployed at MIC inside and out
  • Create online trainings for services & applications
  • Train employees on services, applications, policies and procedures during lunch and learns, onboarding and other team events
  • Manage access control for information technology assets
  • Evaluate, analyze and provide recommendations for new services & applications as requested
  • Support the development and implementation of new applications, programs, and other innovative business practices that help drive efficiencies and overall process improvements
  • Help maintain and organize the Company’s internal knowledge base within Confluence; post educational and support materials to MIC’s internal knowledge base and training system
  • Assist with vendor credentialing
  • Assist the Operations team with occasional planning, coordinating and running company events
  • Participate in company incident response and business continuity activities for information technology infrastructure, as required
  • Assist team members with developing processes and standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Interface with the Compliance Department to develop and implement policies to meet regulatory and standards requirements
  • Perform other operations related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 - 5 years of technical support or administrative support experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in troubleshooting common computer problems.
  • Highly proficient with or able to quickly learn systems and software used by the organization including Google Workspace, Zoom, Smartsheets and others.

The Technical & Operations Support Specialist position will perform a variety of duties to support our employees and ensure that they have what they need to do their jobs effectively. This role will support both technical and operational administrative functions across departments.
