We are

Medical Informatics Corp. (MIC) a medical software company that aims to save lives by improving how patients are monitored. Our solution, Sickbay, collects patient data, stores it, transforms it and delivers results to doctors and nurses in real-time. We continue to build on Sickbay to identify early warning signs of patient deterioration in data which was previously lost within hospitals. This allows us to provide predictive alerts to care providers who can remotely or locally diagnose the problem and intervene before symptoms become life-threatening.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect information surrounding medical equipment, technical and integration workflows, infrastructure and networking capabilities, patient record configuration and requirements.
  • Analyze and translate client’s technical landscape into novel technology and patient centric solutions
  • Come up with testing strategy for integrating medical device data and execute
  • Document and communicate effectively
  • Performs software systems testing with a focus on gathering information to assist clients and colleagues
  • Updating and implementing new software solutions
  • Supporting existing software implementations
  • Continuous identifying of software issues and implementing potential software improvements
  • Communicates with customers and clients to establish maintenance procedures for software systems
  • 25% travel to client site(s)
  • Performs other software related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience working with Excel
  • Experience with clinical software
  • 5+ years of experience implementing software projects in medical environments
  • 2+ years of experience working with biomedical equipment
  • Working knowledge of HL7, FHIR, Rational Databases (Virtual and ON-Prem)

Preferable Qualifications

  • Preferably experience with SQL and relational databases (Postgres preferably)
  • Preferably software Engineering (Node.js, Python, C/C++, MATLAB )

The Senior MDI/Implementation Engineer will implement and improve software with the Tech team to give Clinicians and Researchers better access to medical data. They will participate in the implementation process from beginning to end and will provide an attitude supportive of collaboration, accountability and innovation..
