Job Overview
As a Field Service Operations Supervisor at Mainspring Energy, you will serve as a leader in delivering customer availability and operational excellence across our growing fleet by maintaining our exciting and unique product portfolio. You will build, lead, and supervise a cohesive team of technicians and subcontractors through positive engagement, strong communication, and hands-on operational leadership.
You will be responsible for maintaining fleet uptime, coordinating field service dispatch activities, planning and executing efficient maintenance schedules, and ensuring rapid response to reactive service events. This role serves as a key operational interface between customers, field service teams, safety, supply chain, and internal support organizations.
You will be heavily involved in day-to-day field operations and coordination tasks that enable the O&M Division within MSE to function effectively and efficiently. This position requires a hands-on leader who can support execution in the field while driving accountability, customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and operational performance through teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly Field Service team deliverables to meet operational and customer schedule demands
- Coordinate dispatching and scheduling of Field Service technicians and subcontractors to support planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Serve as the primary Mainspring Energy O&M representative at key customer locations, providing operational updates and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Monitor key operational and maintenance performance indicators to proactively resolve issues before they impact fleet uptime or O&M goals
- Work closely with Field Service team members to coordinate and optimize field service workflow, labor utilization, and response times
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Field Service technicians while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure parts availability and timely delivery of materials required for field activities
- Support work order management, maintenance documentation, and service reporting activities within company systems
- Identify operational inefficiencies and drive solutions that improve safety, reliability, response time, and overall service execution
- Actively pursue the resources needed to ensure team success and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Work collaboratively with other Field Service Supervisors and cross-functional teams to balance resources and achieve O&M objectives
- Support emergency response activities and outage coordination as needed
- Above all, ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times through active monitoring, enforcement of company safety procedures, and continuous solicitation of improvement ideas
Qualifications
- Successful candidates will have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a Field Service, power generation, industrial maintenance, or other customer-facing operational environment
- Experience coordinating field service operations, technician dispatching, maintenance scheduling, or manufacturing/service workflows
- Experience identifying, tracking, and improving key operational performance indicators
- Working knowledge of power generation systems, electrical distribution systems, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment is preferred
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems, dispatch software, or other ERP/CMMS platforms is preferred
- Strong understanding of safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, engineering, or related field is preferred
- Must be an effective communicator with strong collaboration, leadership, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with proven success working cross-functionally at all organizational levels
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, and operational reporting tools or equivalent systems

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
