Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of GNC engineers working on our portfolio of spacecraft
  • Mentor engineers in their professional growth
  • Evaluate the technical performance of team members
  • Champion continuous improvement in the GNC system and analysis/verification simulations
  • Partake in GNC architectural trades and design for new vehicles
  • Organize and track team progress on a variety of projects
  • Evaluate GNC algorithm design and implementation
  • Communicate GNC needs to the broader engineering team
  • Work with the business development team to identify and capture new opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in spacecraft GNC design and analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with direct report management in a technical leadership role
  • Proficiency in Matlab and C++
  • Experience performing control analysis in time and frequency domains, estimation theory, or astrodynamics

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing GNC platforms in growing company environment
  • Demonstrated experience in upper stage or lander control
  • Experience with vehicle-GNC design processes, from concept, through design reviews and implementation
  • Experience with rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) or formation flying
  • Experience in a startup or agile development environment
  • Experience in spacecraft operations

Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
