About the role
Halter is looking for high-performing Software Engineering students to join our team. We have two opportunities available, one for our Farmer Experience team and one for our Comms team.
Comms Team:
Halter has over 200,000 collars that connect to our wireless network several times a minute to issue commands, update information, and report hundreds of metrics that fuel the innovation of every team at Halter. This network is the backbone of our product, built in AWS and needs to be extremely reliable. We’re looking for a backend software engineer who is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where they will be challenged on a daily basis. To succeed you will need to be able to learn quickly and use initiative while working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Famer Experience Team:
Farmer Experience team for the summer. Our Farmer Experience team are responsible for our customer’s user experience throughout our mobile app! You will work closely with other engineers, designers and product leads in the Farmer team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where decisions are made quickly and everyone has an impact. Your work will be fundamental in ensuring the success of our team goals, both by building new features and driving performance improvements across both mobile and web applications. To succeed, you will need to learn quickly and use your own initiative while working under pressure & tight deadlines. This internship will run from the 18th of November 2024 through to the 28th of February 2025. It will be full-time 40 hours a week over this period.
