About the role
Farmers with Halter are pioneering a new way of dairy farming. We have unlocked the connection between farmers and their cows, and in doing so, transformed the way farmers operate. By automating cow movements and providing 24/7 cow monitoring, Halter has removed many of the barriers farmers face on a day-to-day basis. Halter farmers don’t need to get up at 4am to get the cows in, put up a fence, find sick cows, or detect heat… with Halter, they can do all of this automatically and more proactively through the Halter App. They can schedule their mobs to meet them at the dairy for milking, run as many mobs as they want, and be alerted to cows with early signs of illness. Break fencing and allocating feed used to take 20 minutes, now it takes 10 seconds and is extremely precise. Welcome to farming with Halter!
We are searching for a driven and high-performing Senior Account Manager to launch Halter in the Australian market. This is an opportunity to positively disrupt an industry and pioneer groundbreaking change on some of the world’s highest-performing dairy farms. You will be leading the Tasmanian expansion for one of the world’s fastest-growing companies by helping equip farms with world-first Halter technology that will transform the way they farm to become leaders in productivity and sustainability. You will be backed by a team of exceptional people on the ground in Tasmania and at Halter’s Auckland HQ, to ensure this is the best job you’ll ever have.

What your day could look like

  • Relationship Management: Being the primary point-of-contact for Halter’s enterprise customers, interacting with various levels of management ranging from farm managers through to directors
  • Expansion: Supporting the onboarding, training and implementation of the Halter system on new farms, ensuring all parties are able to successfully use the system
  • Farmer Success: Strategically partnering with customers to establish clear business goals, timelines, priorities and metrics of success
  • Driving Change: Regularly engaging with customers to drive behaviour change and full integration of the Halter system
  • Growth Initiatives: Partnering with sales to identify renewal, expansion and up-sell opportunities in the post-sales cycle
  • Networking: Building and leveraging industry relationships with key stakeholders to establish and maintain Halter's brand
  • Community: Fostering the Halter farmer community through the facilitation of farmer discussion groups/events

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in Account Management, specifically with corporate and enterprise dairy farming customers
  • Robust dairy farm systems knowledge, particularly in pasture management
  • Strong business acumen and experience in commercial negotiations
  • A phenomenal attitude and a team player with the ability to consistently overcome challenges.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • A hunger for success and personal growth to be able to evolve quickly alongside a world-class Customer Success and Sales team.
