What You Get to Do In This Role:
The ITAM Solution Consultant is a technical consultant with the advanced ability to develop, position and provide product-specific solutions during sales cycles that help achieve sales goals for an assigned territory (territory will be specific to a particular industry vertical, i.e., life science, healthcare provider, healthcare payer).
A representative list of core responsibilities of the ITAM Solution Consultant are listed below:
· Serve as a thought leader on IT Asset Management (inclusive of hardware asset management, software asset management, cloud cost management), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for ServiceNow
· Develop and maintain strong alignment with Product Management and Engineering teams to provide and advocate for product enhancements, roadmap additions and to relay feedback from the field & customers
· Create and own programs that enable / train Solution Consultants and Sellers to demonstrate the value of ITAM and EAM
· Create and own efforts to generate and mature ITAM and EAM pipeline for customers (e.g., webinars, in person events, workshops)
· Contribute to and maintain a showcase of ITAM solutions created on the ServiceNow platform
· Assist the sales personnel in qualification of customer needs (discovery) and creation of business cases (i.e., business value assessments that help calculate measurable value for customers)
· Demonstrate solutions - both standard and tailored – to successfully secure the technical win
· Respond to requests for information / proposal (RFIs, RFPs) in a fashion that successfully secures the technical win
· Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with prospects, as appropriate
· Support Marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars, summits, practitioner workshops
· Stay current on competitive analysis and on understanding of how to best position ServiceNow solution to ensure we keep ahead of opportunities, obstacles, and challenges
· Understand business and technical problems addressed by the product including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, etc.
