Job Description

As a Senior Staff Quality Engineer in Central QE Operations, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high quality internal tools and applications that enable and enhance the productivity of our Quality Engineering organization. This role emphasizes innovation, automation, and application development on the ServiceNow platform to support internal QE workflows, certification processes, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include

  • Design, build, and maintain internal applications and tooling on the ServiceNow platform to streamline QE processes and operations
  • Develop automation frameworks and services to improve functional, regression, and system level testing efficiency
  • Innovate new solutions and prototypes that enable scale, visibility, and standardization for quality metrics and governance
  • Integrate custom applications with ServiceNow modules, workflows, and APIs to support quality operations
  • Plan, automate, and execute test strategies for QE tooling, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Drive adoption of QE tools and best practices, mentoring team members and influencing process improvements across Central QE
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including QE leadership, operations, and platform teams to prioritize initiatives and deliver impactful solutions

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • 8 or more years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Application Development with a proven record of innovation in internal tooling or platforms
  • Strong Java expertise including development of automation frameworks and backend services using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
  • Proficiency in JavaScript with a solid understanding of DOM manipulation and client side logic for application tooling
  • Hands on ServiceNow platform development experience including scoped applications, workflows, APIs, and data models
  • Expertise in test methodologies such as unit, integration, automation, regression, and performance and applying them to internal tooling and frameworks
  • Proficiency with engineering tools such as Eclipse or IntelliJ, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Git, and debugging test pipelines
  • Strong problem solving and innovation mindset, able to identify gaps in QE operations and create scalable solutions
  • Leadership experience including mentoring engineers, driving technical decisions, and influencing QE strategy

Preferred

  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions to visualize quality metrics
  • Familiarity with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue for building advanced internal QE applications
  • Knowledge of data modeling and ETL pipelines for test and quality data aggregation
  • Background in building governance or certification tooling within enterprise scale environments
