Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Director of FinServ Field Marketing to lead, motivate, and innovate. This pivotal role will drive the acquisition, growth, and retention of our Financial Services Americas business by shaping marketing strategies and programs that showcase the potential of ServiceNow.

We need an action-oriented leader who thrives as a working manager and can build ServiceNow’s brand through effective field strategies, lead generation, pipeline development, and sales enablement.

This role will be a key partner in ServiceNow’s growth, collaborating closely with sales organizations to deploy budgets effectively and leverage data to exceed pipeline, revenue, and new logo targets. Additionally, this role will work across marketing and other key functions to drive the integrated marketing plan for Financial Services Americas.

The role reports into the Sr Directors of AMS Field Marketing. The Director will lead a team of 4 (managers and specialists).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of field marketers to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including demand generation, brand awareness, social selling, digital initiatives, and thought leadership programs, to drive pipeline growth for AMS Financial Services sales teams.
  • Demonstrate a leadership style that emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement in team development.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market plan, including demand generation, brand awareness, and thought leadership campaigns, specifically for the US Financial Services market.
  • Collaborate with FinServ Sales leaders to review strategies and discuss initiatives that align with revenue goals.
  • Manage the annual financial services marketing budget, reporting forecast and spend on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Collaborate with key teams such as ABM, executive marketing, partner marketing, and AMS campaigns to drive an integrated plan for their regions.
  • Work closely with the Financial Services Field Marketing team to build and execute strategic marketing programs that meet or exceed financial services sales targets.
  • Measure all programs and optimize the marketing mix to maximize each investment.
  • Work with the marketing operations team to understand and optimize lead flow, database use, segmentation, growth, metrics, and reporting.
  • Lead marketing enablement by providing updates and announcements around field marketing, partners, analysts, executive programs, social media, and our ServiceNow annual user conference.
  • As part of the AMS Marketing Leadership team, lead cross-functional initiatives to drive business forward and create more efficiency within our teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leveraging AI to enhance work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, including using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing demand generation with a strong focus on pipeline and revenue orientation.
  • BS or BA in Business or Marketing.
  • B2B marketing background, preferably in a large-scale cloud business.
  • Proven ability to build, motivate, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Personal drive, passion, and enthusiasm to understand and successfully navigate a fast-growing company.
  • In-depth knowledge of the buyer’s journey from Brand to Demand to Loyalty, with the ability to provide leadership and insight into how field marketing can drive business growth.
  • Ability to drive innovations and process optimizations to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Natural affinity for data-driven decisions, with strong problem-solving skills to address root cause issues.
  • Strong leadership experience and team player, capable of strategic planning with a bias toward execution.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and operational skills.
  • Ability to communicate the commercial and financial impact of marketing investments to a non-marketing audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and change management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and to diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with data and analytics using CRM and/or marketing automation software.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $162,800 - $284,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
