Job Description

As a member of the Global Field Executive Communications team, you will lead GPC (Global Partnerships & Channels) communications, helping shape and activate the story of our partner ecosystem - both inside and outside of the company. You will be the GPC leader’s dedicated comms support, and your role will be both communicator and strategic advocate, building relationships across the company that help GPC to win hearts and minds of teams across the globe.

As a key extended member of the GPC’s leadership team, and part of the broader Global Field Executive Comms team, your role requires building strategic communications plans, executing brilliantly, and collaborating transparently. You will write audience-focused and leadership-voiced internal and external communications, play a major role in event messaging and strategy, support the creation of creative, and drive a social plan. The role requires stellar project and stakeholder management. Never a dull moment, and no task too big or too small.

What your days look like:

  • Supporting communications for the GPC leader – You will be responsible for a variety of internal and external needs that arise daily, whether it’s organizational announcements, new products and initiatives, or driving energy and passion throughout the business. You will be key to executing a communications and engagement strategy that includes messaging decks, newsletters, scripts, visual narratives, social content, thought leadership, and so much more.
  • Project and editorial calendar management - You will need to be organized and dynamic to meet whatever needs arise: things move fast at ServiceNow. This is also about setting the standard on how comms can and should be managed, because our work is visible. This role needs an energetic and creative approach to keeping an ear to the ground, understanding what’s happening and tracking what’s been said where, when, and to whom.
  • Balancing the internal and external – This role must understand and speak the same language as multiple audiences: internal teams, customers, and partners. They all need to hear the same things, presented in distinctive and personal ways. Both the internal and external work will be a mix of regular, recurring items alongside major one-off projects. No matter which bucket it falls into, though, our work has to be marked by clarity, consistency, and transparency.

If you’re a communications professional, this is a great opportunity to put your skills to work, develop world-class communications, and work with a brilliant and dedicated team and business.

Who you’ll work with:

This work is a dynamic mix of two worlds - the business side, within GPC, and the comms side, in the Executive Communications team within Global Communications. You are an advocate and marketer for GPC within Communications, and an advocate and marketer for the power of comms within GPC. You will meet, talk, brainstorm, and work with people at every level of the organization, so a level head in conversations and careful discretion are key.

Who you are:

  • You can write and write well, especially in a leadership voice.
  • You can work magic in PowerPoint. ServiceNow runs on our slide decks, and you will be a key helping the entire GPC team succeed visually.
  • You are creative, in both approach and output. Have ideas about Town Halls? Want to engage the team in new ways? Perfect!
  • You are organized and engaged, comfortable speaking up if something doesn’t look or sound right, and always ready to build a plan.
  • You are curious - this is key. There’s always more to learn in ServiceNow, especially in the world of our partner ecosystem, so curiosity and comfort asking questions will take you far.
  • You’re excited to do things differently.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years internal and/or external communications experience and/or education (experience in the technology sector is a plus; experience with partner ecosystems is a HUGE plus).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, confidence to develop and present ideas.
  • Experience with content management and publishing systems.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills, especially with editorial calendars.
  • Creative, visual storyteller (excellent PowerPoint skills are vital!) with an eye for small detail. Can you spot a misplaced comma or misaligned graphic? Magical!
  • Resourceful and motivated communicator who can independently prioritize shifting workloads in a high-growth, ever-changing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications/public relations or related field.
