Job Description

ServiceNow are seeking a motivated and commercially-minded lawyer specialising in Competition Law and related regulatory matters to support the continued growth of the ServiceNow business globally. This position will report into our Senior Competition Counsel, based in Dublin.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in ServiceNow’s growing Competition Law team and to work on challenging legal issues in an exciting, fast-paced, in-house environment.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Help drive our internal competition law interpretation, guidelines and direction globally. You will work to develop the ServiceNow’s competition law practice, in conjunction with our wider Legal team.
  • Support a very wide range of key legal projects with cross-functional teams on issues relating to: competition/antitrust law, merger control, FDI screening, public procurement, State Aid, digital sectoral regulation, and global competition laws and matters generally (including changes in relevant laws and regulations).
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard forms of agreements and legal and technical processes in conjunction with legal, compliance and business colleagues.
  • Be a trusted business partner, responding in a timely and productive manner to requests from internal clients.
  • Counsel internal clients regarding company policies, legal issues, investigations, and risk tolerance, working closely with our Compliance team.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • Irish, U.K. or European law degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience, with some international and in-house experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Broad experience in EU competition law matters, with experience in international antitrust matters (in particular, US antitrust laws) being a big advantage.
  • Experience working with technology companies, with the ability to understand technical issues - knowledge and understanding of IP, software/technology licensing and commercial contractual arrangements.
  • Experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, including European Commission, UK CMA and other competition authorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to distil complex issues clearly and communicate well both one-on-one and in groups, and in internal and external contexts.

Not sure if you meet every qualification? We still encourage you to apply! We value inclusivity, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds, including non-traditional paths. Unique experiences enrich our team, and the willingness to dream big makes you an exceptional candidate!
