Job Description

We are seeking an experienced individual with an employee relations or investigative background to join ServiceNow’s Employee Relations Workplace Investigations team. The role will be a strategic partner to, and key liaison between, the Global Employment Law and Employee Relations teams.

The position will be primarily responsible for conducting complex global workplace investigations including allegations of harassment, discrimination and retaliation under the guidance of the Global Employment Law team, while fostering key principles of Employee Relations. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in partnering with ServiceNow’s expanding legal and employee relations teams and to work on challenging legal and employee relations issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

What You Get To Do In This Role

  • Be your true self and help us build a culture of equity, high performance and great inclusion.
  • Promote the highest ethical business standards at the organization, in line with ServiceNow’s culture of compliance and zero tolerance for unlawful behavior.
  • Lead complex global internal workplace investigations from intake through completion by developing investigation strategy, conducting witness interviews, analyzing electronic and written records, drafting investigation reports, communicating efficiently with key leadership, proposing remediation and delivering investigative findings with grace and empathy.
  • Become a trusted partner to the Global Employment Law team, the Global People Team, Ethics & Compliance, and many other teams to further scale and globalize ServiceNow’s investigative practices.
  • Provide timely, regular updates to senior personnel and executives in a concise and thoughtful manner.
  • Continue to improve employee relations processes and employee experience through strategic collaboration with the Employee Relations and Global Employment Law teams.
  • Identify and lead learning & development initiatives.
  • Use data to improve and scale investigative processes, case tracking and matter management, reporting, and forecasting.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • A strong work ethic, exceptional judgment, and uncompromising integrity.
  • A love of investigating and getting to the root of problems and conflicts with a fair, consistent, and timely approach.
  • An unwavering commitment to treating people with respect and empathy, even when confronting witnesses with difficult information and delivering the most challenging findings.
  • 3+ years of experience relevant to conducting workplace investigations, preferably at a private or publicly-traded company; equivalent case-management, fact-finding, and analytical experience developed as a litigator will be considered.
  • Strong preference for currently licensed attorneys or law school graduates with a background in employment law and/or employee relations, and/or possession of formal investigative training or certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of AMS employment laws; familiarity with HR and employee relations programs and processes and familiarity with key global privacy principles.
  • Ability to set aside personal biases and maintain objectivity and neutrality when working through complex, ambiguous and or challenging situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with executives, senior leaders, members of management, and employees at all levels of the company, especially during investigations.
  • Strong critical thinking with deep analytical and observational skills.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and precisely, orally and in writing.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and robust record keeping skills.
