Job Description

This position reports to: GVP – Head of Investor Relations and Market Insights

What you get to do in this role:
The primary responsibility of the Investor Relations Manager is to support the company’s efforts in executing the investor relations program. Our team is focused on increasing shareholder value through effective communication of ServiceNow’s strategy, financial results, and operations to the financial community including shareholders and research analysts. Additionally, we also drive a better understanding of ServiceNow’s positioning and emerging trends for our management team by analyzing financial research/information about ServiceNow, its peers, and the industry.

  • Provides ongoing information to executive/management team regarding investor feedback, perceptions and opinions, competitive intelligence from equity research positions and summaries, relative stock price movements, and periodic ownership analysis.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Communication, and Legal teams in crafting the company’s messaging for the financial community including earnings calls, investor presentations at conferences, non-deal roadshows, etc.
    • Supports the quarterly earnings results process, schedule, and the content of strategic news releases.
  • Travel with management to investor conferences and non-deal roadshows.
  • Develop and maintain robust understanding of business drivers and metrics; identify/track key themes and topics for investor discussion to inform our team and executives on emerging trends.
  • Build models and leverage data analysis to understand complex relationships, identify key trends, and gain insight into our revenue/expense line items, drivers, and scalability.
  • Competitive and strategic analysis on ServiceNow, its peers, and the industry as well as buy/sell-side trends to help keep management aware of the markets and investor views on ServiceNow.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant field.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an investor relations role at a public software/internet company and/or an analyst role at a sell-side equity research/buy-side investment firm.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret information and financial concepts for the investment community and management and apply them in business analysis situations.
    • Demonstrated understanding of technology and business models. Must demonstrate the desire and capacity to learn about our industry, products, competitors, and other key audiences.
    • Excellent proficiency in Excel. While not required, experience with financial research tools such as FactSet and/or Capital IQ is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills. History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects.
  • Self-starter attitude, high attention to detail, and ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to gather relevant information for investor communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Consistent track record of success and progression.

JV20

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $129,500 - $226,500, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
