Job Description

Global Demo org is a newly created function that creates outcome/solution-based demos. We help our Solution Consultants and Partner ecosystem drive sales by providing them with the necessary narratives to do a demo as part of the sales cycle.

Software Engineer, Demo Engineering is about to embark on several strategic transformation efforts, including reimaging solution-based demos that span multiple products and solve a business problem.

As a member of our team, you will work in an agile and scrum-based development environment that fosters innovation, enables new capabilities, and prioritizes delivering customer value. Your passion for collaborative software development practices and dedication to driving excellence will contribute to our team's success in building remarkable solutions.

  • Developing demo content for product and solution-based demos.
  • Understanding the ServiceNow platform and all core functionalities will be essential to develop the demos.
  • The engineer is expected to diligently manage and resolve challenging issues assigned to them but may need to coordinate assistance from additional teams for more complex cases. As such, creative problem solving, a collaborative nature and flexibility will be key to your success.
  • Helps to build and manage one of the most valuable sales and marketing assets: The IT Workflow solution demos that highlight the capabilities of the suite of applications in a range of scenarios tailored to specific use cases and business outcomes.
  • Candidate should be passionate about creating and executing inspiring demos, have deep knowledge of IT service, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) domain, and a desire to make world of work, work better for people.
  • Participate in team meetings, technical discussions and knowledge sharing activities.
  • Troubleshoot and effectively resolve internal/Solution Consultant issues by collaborating with cross-teams.
  • Apply software engineering principles to analyze, problem solve and design solutions.
  • Continuously stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve the development process.
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail and have analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Over 3+years of dedicated experience in ServiceNow Platform Administration and Scripting
  • Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Application Portfolio Management (APM) products is required
  • Knowledge of the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or IT Financial Management
  • Experience with PPM and other program management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps and other Agile team tools is required
  • Demonstrated experience with Flow Designers, Service Portal, Performance Analytics, UI Builder, and Virtual Agent is essential.
  • Familiarity with various Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum (and Scrum of Scrum), and Kanban.
  • Skilled in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with the ability to create Proof of Value (PoV) and Proof of Concept (PoC) solutions on the ServiceNow platform
  • Exhibits strong documentation, articulation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of effective prioritization and maintaining focus on high-impact activities.
  • Demonstrates a strong learning aptitude and thrives as a team player.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in high-paced environments and maintain a sense of humour even in demanding situations.
  • Enthusiastic about conducting research and analysis, with a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Collaborates effectively across teams and time zones, leading initiatives to make an impact.
  • Embody the values and culture of ServiceNow.
