To be successful in this role you have:
· Juris Doctor degree and admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
· Minimum 15 years of experience in a legal position focusing on data governance, data management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in leading and scaling data governance programs within complex and large-scale environments OR advanced degree in a related field with 10+ years’ experience.
· Extensive experience designing and implementing governance frameworks.
· Strong understanding of the data ecosystem, including data architectures, infrastructure, governance frameworks, warehousing concepts, quality management, and stewardship practices.
· Proven ability to translate this knowledge into actionable, enterprise-wide data governance strategies that integrate data ethics principles.
· Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing adaptable and effective data governance frameworks for large, global organizations.
· Expertise in navigating the evolving AI regulatory landscape to develop and implement compliant data governance practices and mitigate risk.
· Proven expertise in developing solutions to enterprise data governance challenges, such as master data management (MDM), data lake governance, and data mesh implementation.
· Exceptional critical thinking and problem management abilities, strong business acumen and excellent business judgment; must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and pivot between responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
· The ability to distill complex issues clearly and communicate well both one-on-one and in groups, and in internal and external contexts.
