What you get to do in this role:

  • Evaluating on-going project and production system from performance perspective, early feedback and opportunity to work with the teams to fix the issue.
  • You will be required to assess Business Problems, Technical problems, and come up with best fit solution, develop the solution and deploy the solution across enterprise.
  • You will be required to work with Application Operations team and deliver these solutions at scale and deploy this for multiple teams

Opportunity

  • You will find ways to remediate outages or enhance performance on the ServiceNow platform
  • You will get to utilize tools like BigData, Splunk, Elk, and others to map out metrics and identify trends on transactional throughput, memory, CPU, job processing, and disk utilisation to devise self-detect and self-healing solutions.
  • You will use database optimisation skills to tune the database, add indexes, maintain tables and data, and understand execution plans to recommend better formed queries.
  • You will review Javascript and Java application code to fix performance concerns and help define best performing code practices for developers.
  • You will work and coordinate between different internal teams (Development, Quality Engineers, Platform, Business Units, Load test team

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 6 to 12 years of industry experience with minimum of 4 years in performance engineering with the bachelor’s degree.
  • A very good working experience of the JVM architecture and analysing JVM issues.
  • A good working experience with Middleware.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Platform and Technologies
  • Should be good in one of the testing and load test tool use in current market.
  • A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB
  • Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
  • Experience writing or debugging OO code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok)
  • Experience administering Linux/Unix OR Microsoft Server
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, team player.
  • Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems
  • Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanour when handling complex user issues
  • Knowing ServiceNow platform is an add-on
