As Databricks’ Senior Corporate Communications Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the narrative of a company at the forefront of data and AI.

You will report to the Director of Global Communications and help drive our mission to democratize data and AI. You will leverage your expertise to manage impactful corporate communications programs. You will be responsible for telling Databricks’ business story and showcasing our continued growth and momentum.

The impact you will have:

  • Setting corporate communications strategy: Set the strategic direction for Databricks’ corporate communications program, aligned with our business goals and ensuring we effectively convey our mission and momentum to a global audience.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with business press and broadcast media: Invest in relationships with key journalists, editors, and producers to ensure the top outlets are knowledgeable on Databricks, while also educating internal stakeholders on the media’s key priorities and focus areas.
  • Generating high-quality PR coverage and managing inbound requests: Secure proactive high-quality PR coverage in top-tier business outlets and effectively respond to inbounds on a range of issues, enhancing our brand recognition and credibility in the industry.
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, public affairs, finance, corporate development, and executive teams to develop cohesive and compelling messaging for corporate announcements (including investments and acquisitions), and other strategic initiatives, ensuring consistency across all communications channels.
  • Creating high-quality content: Oversee the creation of engaging and informative content, including press releases, bylines, blog posts, and social media content, that resonates with our target audiences and supports our thought leadership program.
  • Developing policy and crisis communications programs: Develop and execute strategies to educate policymakers and the general public on data and AI. Lead our crisis communication and issues management efforts, protecting and enhancing Databricks’ brand and reputation in the market.
  • Managing global agency relationships: Effectively manage relationships with PR agencies across the globe, ensuring they are aligned with our strategic goals and deliver high-impact results that amplify our key messages.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of communications in an enterprise software company
  • Experience working with data and AI companies
  • Ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences
  • Experience with the media landscape, with established relationships with key journalists, editors and producers
  • Leadership and project management skills, with experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative, team player, with experience partnering with public affairs, corporate development, legal, and executives
  • Experience with crisis communications and issues management; ability to anticipate challenges and establish risk mitigation strategies
  • Move fast and collaboratively in a quickly evolving environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
