We also collaborate with researchers from world-renowned institutions on cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and the physical sciences. Our team is ambitious with our goals, passionate about our vision, driven by our sustainability mission, and eager to grow and learn from each other. We’re headquartered in California, with team members throughout North America and Europe. We’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for the best to join us!
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Designer who is motivated by the challenge to create groundbreaking, seamless, and visually compelling user experiences for AI and ML-powered data analysis and visualization workflows. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team, engineers, product managers, subject matter experts, and our professional services teams to define UX and UI patterns for complex data and machine learning workflows
  • Ideate, sketch, wireframe, mock, prototype — and participate in design reviews with cross-functional teams where you will clearly communicate ideas, intentions, and designs
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Collaborate with user experience engineers to polish the front-ends they build based on your designs

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in UI/UX design or similar
  • Experience designing data-driven tools such as Simulation, Data Management platforms, Financial Modeling, or similar
  • Substantial understanding of modern UX principles and responsive, accessible web app design patterns for SaaS products
  • A portfolio that showcases your ability to realize complex enterprise products from definition through delivery
  • Comfortable grasp of visual design fundamentals
  • Proficiency in modern design software such as Sketch or Figma
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Experience working in an agile development environment

Nice To Haves

  • HTML/CSS/Javascript, Material UI, and/or React expertise
  • Experience designing interfaces for LLM-based software
  • Experience conducting user research and usability studies
  • Studies have shown that women and underrepresented minorities are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification listed. Citrine Informatics is invested in creating a diverse, authentic, and inclusive team, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t perfectly align with what you read above, please consider applying anyways!
