Job Responsibilities

  • Design System Level harnesses from power distribution to high-speed communications
  • Implement harness design best practices
  • Architect Capella’s harnessing workflow and work with Production and Supply chain teams to standardize processes with other departments.
  • Support production team in scheduling builds to support flight and test operations.
  • Define design and manufacturing standards, inspection procedures, and test equipment.
  • Technical point of contact for all Wire, Cable, Connector, and Harness suppliers.
  • Support resolving non-conformances from harness suppliers

Preferred skills and experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or other related Engineering field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex harnesses.
  • Knowledge of PCBA’s and working closely with electrical design engineers to define harnessing requirements.
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Familiarity with industry harnessing standards (NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC/WHMA-A-620, etc)
  • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD applications.
  • Experience with Zuken or other harness design applications.
  • Experience with ARAS or other engineering product lifecycle management tools
  • Experience with cable assembly design.

Compensation Ranges

SF: $146,800 - $220,200

CO: $117,400 - $176,200

Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills.
