About The Role

Capella is looking for an enthusiastic electrical rework technician with experience making clean, efficient and reliable modifications to PCBs to join our growing manufacturing team. This technician will work with engineers to specify and implement rework and finishing manufacturing steps on engineering model and flight model hardware. This will involve removing and replacing components, adding wires and altering connections, building and altering cables, “Dead bugging” components, etc.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 10 years hands-on experience performing PCBA rework and repair using hand soldering and de-soldering tools
  • NASA or J-Standard Certifications; IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620
  • Ability to select appropriate methods, materials to perform the repair/rework
  • Ability to remove and replace fine pitch components (E.g. TSOP, QFP, SOIC) without damage to the PCB or components
  • Ability to perform repair of damaged PCB traces
  • Must be able to read and understand PCB layout images, component data sheets and rework instructions
  • Experience building and repairing cabling and harnesses to specification
  • Familiarity with reading electrical schematics
  • Consistently produce high work quality
  • Ability to work independently as well as take direction
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working on Aerospace flight hardware
  • Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment
  • PCBA Test Experience
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence

SF Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
