Job Description:

What you'll be doing:

1. Responsible for managing & administering the employee Payroll and ensuring compliance and accuracy in monthly Payroll activities.

2. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of payroll reports, payroll payments and payments to internal accounting and external vendors,

3. Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data from other internal partners, when necessary. Analyze and correct, when needed, the data output from vendor and Workday to ensure accuracy of payments and taxation.

4. Knowledge of using the ADP, Deel or similar internal payroll software system is desired.

5. Knowledge of Workday software for HR reporting, ability to interpret employee details, running and auditing payroll reports.

6. Good knowledge of Labor Laws, remitting payroll taxes, and various governmental reporting.

8. Prepare and process monthly statutory payroll payments such as Provident Fund, Professional tax, NPS, LWF, Income Tax, for India. As well as taxes, pensions and legally required payments in other countries.

9. Prepare and submit all Labor compliance-related returns such as Provident Fund, Professional tax, NPS, LWF, and Income Tax.

10. Generate Payroll reports as requested by management within ADP, Deel or Workday

11. Handle employee taxation matters, Payroll tax deduction at source, TDS returns filing, TDS challan payments, relationship with HMRD and other government agencies

12. Co-ordinate with labor law consultants, and various labor law-related government departments to carry out various compliance request and resolve employee matters.

13. Understanding of Alation payroll and benefits policies and procedures and how they impact employees. Able to communicate effectively to all employees and managers.

14. Participate and provide data for internal and external audits. Prepare reports on payroll expenses, tax filings, and employee compensation for management and auditors.

15. Answer questions from employees, managers, and internal partners.

16. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements.

17. Reconcile pay and benefits quarterly and at year end for compliance to ensure W-2, T4, P45 and all other year end documents are provided to our employees on time and accurately.

18. Participate in Workday updates, including testing.

19. Participate in any system upgrades or transition of payroll to a new vendor.

20. Work to increase payroll service performance, implement process improvements, and document payroll SOP’s and processes or procedure

21. Ensure compliance with federal, state, country, provincial, and local payroll laws and regulations.

22. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll integration with systems and employee records

23. This position exercises independent judgment, confidentiality, and discretion in planning and carrying out the details of work procedures and methods.

24. Any other tasks, as assigned by management.

You should have:

I. Basic Qualifications

A. Education

  • Degree/ Post Graduate degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • Knowledge of payroll software is preferable.

B. Experience

  • Payroll Specialist with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Previous responsibility for End-to-End payroll processing
  • Have a clear understanding of labor laws employee tax calculations
  • Proficient in the English language (Both Verbal Written).
  • Strong computer skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, G-Suite
