Job Description:
We’re looking for a driven & energetic Data Engineer III to join our team where you can apply your passion for turning data into actionable insights. As a member of the Data & Analytics department, you’ll be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing source data, and implementing the data pipelines from applications to analytical models and toolsets throughout the business. You should have experience in all of this plus collaborating across a wide range of business functions to create professional data solutions using established as well as cutting-edge tools. You will be part of our drive to promote a data culture plus effective & efficient use of our data resources.

Responsibilities
Understand the data flow and interfacing systems to build marts/warehouse with DBT.
Model Dims & Marts .
Conduct data analysis and discovery to identify trends and correlations to uncover insights. Recommend information that should be analyzed based on key indicators, work to diagnose root causes, and/or identify areas for improvement.
Oversee the building and production of data solutions working closely with the members of your team, other Data & Analytics teams, and the key stakeholders in the business.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear analytics deliverables.
Ensure quality results through accurate data extraction, data cleanup, and audits.
Complete data analysis.
Evaluate industry developments and market trends to conduct in-depth benchmarking.
Qualifications
Self-directed individual with 6+ years of experience working in data & analytics, ideally in a high-growth environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong SQL skills.
Dimensional Modeling / Data warehouse Design skills.
AWS data engineering experience along with Python.
Experience with Snowflake is desirable.
DBT skills are desirable.
Data Orchestration experience is desirable.
Github and CI/CD are desirable.
Data catalog experience is desirable.
Understand multiple system integrations/flow of data, and data schema changes.
Pay strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.
Welcomes a fast pace of work and changing cadences; role modeling the ability and benefit of being flexible and adaptable.
Support data governance and GDPR compliance.
Identify opportunities to enhance the analytics provision within Alation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
