Job Description:

The Sr. HR Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting Alation's HR operations, systems, and processes – driving efficiencies to scale globally and building new solutions to deliver a great employee experience. As a Sr. HR Systems Analyst, you will be a key player on the team that optimizes our HR systems, particularly focusing on Workday reporting and technology as well as Workday's Recruiting and core HCM modules. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR processes, strong analytical skills, data analytics, and technical proficiency in Workday integration systems. This role is part of the People department and will report to the People Operations and Systems team.

This role is a hybrid role with the expectations of going to work at our HQ office in Redwood City, California, at a minimum of 2x a week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into system solutions.

  • Configure and maintain Workday Recruiting and HCM modules to support talent acquisition, hiring, onboarding, and overall HR processes.

  • Design, develop, and implement Workday reports and dashboards to meet business needs.

  • Utilize Workday Studio to create custom integrations to enhance system functionality.

  • Manage and troubleshoot Workato pipelines that exchange data with other systems such as Google Drive and Slack.

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Workday Recruiting and other HCM modules such as Absence Management.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to end-users and HR staff on Workday functionalities and best practices.

  • Drive new and existing projects, manage new feature releases and system updates, and develop process improvements.

  • Stay current on Workday updates, enhancements, and industry trends to ensure our HR systems are optimized.

  • Combine process and technology solutions to enhance the overall delivery of HR programs and services to support our global population.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of EIBs, Workday Studio, and integration system technology.

  • 8+ years of experience in global HR operations and systems, ideally in a high-growth environment.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Proven experience as an HR Systems Analyst with a focus on Workday Recruiting and HCM.

  • In-depth knowledge of Workday configuration and customization capabilities.

  • Solid knowledge of HR systems, data structures, and processes; understanding of interdependencies between systems, including upstream and downstream impacts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating with HR teams, internal stakeholders, external vendors, and end-users.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday certification in Reporting and Analytics.

  • Experience with Workday integrations and reporting tools.

  • Experience in project management and previous involvement in Workday implementation projects.

  • Well-versed in Google Workspace (sheets, slides, docs, etc) and various HR systems

Compensation Pay Range:

$129,250.00 - $148,500.00

Salary Information

The base salary range is specific to the United States. The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, work location, specialty and training. If the final candidate has a different level of experience, the base salary target range may be lower or higher than what is published.
