Job Description:
Alation is seeking a Sofware Engineer III to join our "Anywhere Team."
What does the "Anywhere Team" do?
The Alation "Anywhere Team" works on bringing the Alation Data Intelligence Platform to the fingertips of its users through applications like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and browsers. We empower customers to access trusted data from anywhere, not only directly from the main Alation product. We deliver comprehensive solutions created from scratch by the team. This includes designing architecture, providing best quality implementation with highest standards of security and usage metrics. We closely cooperate with the Product Team and customers to deliver a first class experience.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer with backend or frontend experience being open to become a full-stack engineer in the future. Experience with LLM/AI tools is a big plus!
What you'll do:
Work together with the Engineering and QA Team on delivering high quality features.
Collaborate with our Product and Design Teams to provide the best user experience.
Work on the code spanning frontend and backend systems.
Research and design solutions best fitting customer needs.
Make smart scoping and priority decisions to ship fast, impactful code.
Work directly with users to integrate feedback into our designs and priorities.
Build and maintain secure, scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
You should have:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience designing, developing, and shipping software products and services.
Proficiency in Python or React.js and TypeScript.
Desire to dive into details of complex code that runs at scale in cloud and on-prem.
Ability to translate business requirements and “user needs” into code – experience owning projects or features from planning to release.
Readiness for adaptable and fast-paced, evolving, growing, and dynamic environment.
Experience with ML/AI/LLM tools and libraries is a plus.
Residence in Poland is required.
