As a Salesforce Business Analyst at Alation you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing business requirements, implementing Salesforce functionalities to meet the needs of our organization. You will be responsible for creating and delivering value with business process optimization and systems automation on the lead, deal cycle, partner portal, account, contact and opportunity management areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving business process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices.
  • Configure Salesforce features such as custom objects, workflows, validation rules, process builder, and approval processes to meet business needs.
  • Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure effective adoption of Salesforce solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers to assist with technical implementation and customization of Salesforce features.
  • Perform data analysis and data migration activities to ensure accurate and consistent data within Salesforce.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization activities to ensure successful delivery of Salesforce projects on time and within budget.
  • Stay updated on Salesforce releases and new features to recommend improvements and enhancements to existing Salesforce solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) highly desired.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Lightning Platform.
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, validation rules, and process builder.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, data modeling, and data migration activities within Salesforce.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
