About The Role:

The IT Team Lead will be the first IT employee in our Pittsburgh office and the first in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) timezone. This pivotal role will provide IT leadership, mentorship, and hands-on support to our IT team based in Oregon and act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues. The IT Team Lead will collaborate closely with the Director of IT and Enterprise Services and be responsible for ensuring operational excellence within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor IT team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring knowledge transfer.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for technical issues, providing effective troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Manage and maintain local IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and end-user devices.
  • Support enterprise IT systems and applications, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives, aligning with business goals.
  • Develop and document the Pittsburgh office's IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with the broader IT team to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes across time zones.
  • Act as the IT representative for the Pittsburgh office, liaising with vendors, stakeholders, and employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of IT experience, including hands-on technical roles and leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network management.
  • Proficiency with enterprise IT solutions, such as Google Workspace, Okta, SSO, cloud platforms, automation, system integration, and virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead technical teams, driving a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in a hybrid or multi-office environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 is an advantage.
