We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to work with our clinical manufacturing team. In this role, based in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, you will support the development of a GMP compliant and efficient Maintenance and Calibration program to support the GMP Clinical Manufacturing Facility.

How you might spend your days

  • Leading and participating in the implementation of a GMP CMMS for our new GMP manufacturing facility
  • Developing procedures and processes for AbCellera’s maintenance program
  • Working with a project team and third party vendors to develop data to define the maintenance and calibration program in our CMMS
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance activities and planned outages between manufacturing operations, quality, maintenance, utilities operations, and contractors, vendors, and other agencies as required
  • Workorder planning & health checkups of the CMMS system, ensuring optimum asset management
  • Responding to real-time requests for maintenance support from the manufacturing, quality and process development teams to support 24/7 operation
  • Assisting in the development of an inventory plan for maintenance parts, consumables, materials, and tracks inventory levels
  • Training and mentoring the maintenance team
  • Continuously driving improvements to established processes, increasing speed and efficiency while meeting regulatory requirements

We’d love to hear from you if

  • You have 5 years of industry experience with a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar. Strong candidates with a 2 year technical or associates degree may be considered with sufficient maintenance or calibration planning & scheduling experience.
  • You have demonstrated experience in maintenance planning & scheduling experience
  • Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment (Pharmaceutical or Medical device) is a plus
  • You have experience working within a facility CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team
  • You have excellent project management and planning skills. Having a PMP certification would be highly desirable
  • You are strongly self-motivated and are able to identify project needs and follow that up with building and implementing solutions
  • You are enthusiastic about applying your expertise in asset lifecycle management

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $98,500 - $123,100 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
